Why do we keep spending small fortunes on skin care products when you can just go to the source for a fraction of the price. I'm guilty of that too I have spent at least $45 for vitamin C facial treatments. I recently saw a YouTube video where a UK based beauty blogger uses simple lemons in her daily skincare routine.
And for 44cents this lemon facial is amazing!!!!! And it actually works!!!! My face actually looks brighter and with prolonged use I know my skin tone will even out too.
How it works: Simply buy a lemon, wash lemon clean, cut in wedges, remove seeds and central integument, store in airtight container in refrigerator.
Wash face with mild cleanser, dry, take a lemon wedge and massage face (in circular motions), try to leave behind most of the pulp as this will create the 'mask', squeeze the oil from the rind and massage before the juice/pulp dries. Leave on for 5 -10 mins (depending on sensitivity).
Note the oil can squeezed from the rind, mixed with nightly moisturizer and used for up to a week.
This is simply amazing and so simple. I told a friend who tried it and she was amazed at how different and more radiant her skin looked. I will use up the vitamin C products I already have and integrate lovely lemons in my skin care routine.
