Last week The Body Shop had a limited 2-day treat for their facebook fans (only two per customer). They were offering a Makeover kit for $30, I checked their site and saw that if purchased individually this kit would cost $138. This was a steal and a bargain if I ever saw one. So with my 'love your body' card I got a 10% discount and they also had free shipping for that day. Thus, this actually cost me only $28.62

Travel brush set, all in one face base (#4), lip & cheek stain (#1), lip pencil (beech), super volume mascara (black), eyeliner (black)
Eyeshadow #10, shimmer cube (marshmallow, honeycomb, dark chocolate, choc chip), lipstick (#14)
My thoughts:
Brush set- none yet, I've never used their brushes before so I'll have to give them a try.
All in one base - way too light for my complexion, so I'll be giving this to my much lighter toned sister :)
Lip & cheek stain - a deep raspberry shade, very clear, in the tube it looks like a gloss but has the feel of a serum type product. I tested it on my hand but didn't see any 'stain' other the finger I used to apply it was stained. don't know how well this will work over foundation without streaking it, but I'll give it a try on my lips.
Lip pencil- not my shade
Mascara - I think this will be good, I'm not opening it yet because I have a zillion (well 12 in rotation at the moment), must use them up :)
Eyeliner - very hard, I swatched on my hard and it hurt, so imaging my poor eyelid :( I prefer felt-tip or creme liners.
Eyeshadow - dark taupe, very nice texture
Shimmer cube - OMG!! gorgeous cannot describe how lovely these shadows are, and browns are my thing. They are very pigmented and they shimmer but not disco ball shimmer. Just lovely. This cube is not on their site so I don't know how we'll be able to repurchase :(
Lipstick - mauve rose, that's the limit of my color description, it has a matte finish.
Pros-
1. so worth the price
2. not scented
3. very good quality
Cons-
1. all in one face base should have been something that would work with all skin tones
2. eye pencil is very hard
3. shimmer cubes are hard to find, at least in my state but online too and I know they have many more because I got two in a blog sale. And these were different from the only one they had online.
I love the Body Shop (most products) and the fact that their products are natural/organic and they support free-trade and very worthy causes.
Thanks for reading
